So you can be forgiven if a stay in the Robert Dudley feature bedroom on the first floor of the Victorian wing of the main house gives you delusions of grandeur.
The large four poster bed, stone walls offset by oak beaming and the stunning views of the lake from the bay window all makes for an unforgettable stay.
