Spa Guide

Pre-arrival Information

  • The spas open at 9am (although other health club/leisure facilities may open earlier), so please ensure that you check in for your day at the spa reception between 9am and 9.30am
  • This will allow time for us to provide you with a guided tour of our spa facilities and for you to complete your welcome pack
  • Please remember to bring any vouchers or confirmation letters/emails with you on the day
  • We apologise but payments/discounts will not be honoured without the production of a valid voucher. You will be required to find an alternative method of payment should vouchers be forgotten/lost

 

Your therapists

  • You will be in the skilful care of therapists who believe in the philosophy of combining the very best of ancient and modern therapies with the finest quality ingredients for skin care
  • Treatment time includes set up, consultation, your treatment and aftercare advise

 

Upgrades and additional treatments

  • If you wish to book any additional treatments for your day, to avoid disappointment we suggest you book these prior to arrival

 

Health check

If you or any member of your spa party are currently pregnant, suffer from a medical condition, a heart disorder, or are taking any prescribed drugs please let us know prior to your day as this may affect your choice of treatments.

  • On arrival you will be asked to complete a medical consultation form which will be handed to your therapist
  • Please note guests suffering from any heart conditions or high blood pressure will be unable to use any of our heat experiences

 

Pregnancy

  • Please note that we do not offer face or body treatments for ladies who are 1-13 weeks pregnant
  • From 13 weeks we offer a range of specialised luxury pregnancy treatments
  • If you need any further guidance please ask any member of the spa team
  • Pregnant ladies are strongly advised against the use of any heat and or hydrotherapy facilities

 

Health Club & Spa facilities

  • During your day you are welcome to enjoy the health club and spa facilities (subject to availability) – please click on your chosen spa to see a full list of what is available
  • Please note that beds in the spa guest relaxation room (where applicable) and poolside loungers cannot be reserved and are on a first come basis
  • A copy of our group exercise class timetable (if appropriate) can be found on our website Hand Picked Spas & Health Clubs
  • Classes can be booked 5-7 days in advance (site specific)
  • There may be additional costs for some classes
  • Guests should also be advised that there are designated times for adult only swimming (please see site specific details)

 

Late arrival

  • Regrettably late arrival for your appointment will constitute a reduced treatment time
  • In some circumstances we may be able to re-schedule your treatment time if you are late however this often is not possible due to the busy nature of the spa and the availability of therapists

 

On arrival

  • On arrival you will be guided through your welcome pack
  • Your welcome pack includes an updated spa Itinerary, guest medical questionnaire, further information on facilities available to you, a guide on how to spa, your spa lunch menu (if appropriate), and a range of selected Hand Picked seasonal offers

 

What to bring

  • If you would like to make use of all of the facilities, please pack your gym and/ or swim wear
  • If you have selected to have a pedicure treatment we advise you pack open toe shoes
  • We would request that all mobile phones, pagers, iPhones and Blackberrys are switched off during your visit
  • We are happy to relay any messages via the spa reception
  • In keeping with the UK/Jersey and Guernsey law, the spa applies a strictly non-smoking policy within its confines or on external parameters
  • For comfort we advise that you bring flip flops with you. Flip flops are also available to purchase at the Spa Reception should you require them.

 

Towels & bath robes

  • Private lockers containing a towel, bath robe and toiletries will be provided for you on arrival to the spa for your personal use throughout your day
  • We ask you return your robe and towel to the allocated towel drop in the changing rooms on departure
  • Hand Picked bath robes are available for purchase at the Spa reception should you like to take one home

 

Pre-booked lunch

  • A private table will be reserved for your lunch in one of our designated spa lounges/café bar
  • The time and menu for lunch will be confirmed with you on your arrival
  • Please advise a member of the spa team of any dietary requirements prior to arrival

 

Coffee/tea/refreshments and alcohol beverages

  • Herbal tea and water are complimentary in the spa as part of your spa package
  • If you would like to purchase beverages from our Club Café Bar such as coffees, tea, wines and Champagne this is at an extra cost to be paid for at time of ordering

 

Lunch & Afternoon Tea upgrade (if not already pre-booked)

  • Afternoon Tea and a 2 course spa lunch are  available to purchase
  • If you wish to pre-book lunch please contact spa reception
  • Alternatively lunch or afternoon tea can be ordered on arrival (subject to availability)
  • Please note that we advise that you pre-book, if lunch is required between 12 noon and 2 pm
  • Afternoon Tea is served daily from 1pm onwards 
  • Please advise a member of the spa team of any dietary requirements
  • All our food is prepared in a kitchen where nuts, gluten and other allergens are present.  If more information about allergens is required, please ask a member of the team on arrival

 

Champagne upgrade (if not already pre-booked)

  • Champagne is available to purchase both per glass and/or per bottle
  • If you wish to pre-book Champagne please contact the spa reception
  • Alternatively, Champagne can be ordered on arrival

 

Retail gifts

  • Our spa stocks a full range of retail products to allow you to continue your spa experience at home
  • Your therapist and spa host will be delighted to offer assistance should you require any skincare advice or to purchase any products

 

Gift vouchers

  • If you would like to treat friends or family to a similar day of pampering, monetary or package gift vouchers are available to purchase from the spa reception
  • Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months
