During the national lockdowns, whilst our venues have mostly been closed to guests and delegates, our asset team has been busy with plenty of renovation projects.
The quiet time has provided the perfect opportunity for some of these transformations to be completed and we are delighted to give you an overview of some of them – our lock down silver linings.
Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa
Rookery Hall, our striking and versatile venue in Nantwich Cheshire, had a substantial £250k investment in the Main House including a floor to ceiling redecoration, repositioning of the bar and brand new furniture throughout. The dedicated conference centre also received an additional £75k of upgrades including new carpets, soft furnishings and tables and chairs – we simply cannot wait to see delegates filling these areas once more.
Norton House Hotel & Spa
The Usher Suite (formally known as the Ballroom) at Norton House in Edinburgh, which is the largest event space at the venue hosting up to 300 delegates, received a complete makeover with a neutral grey colour scheme that gives the space a delightfully light and airy feel. With the adjacent Oak Room featuring its own bar, we can already picture some splendid celebrations and events happening here in the not too distant future.
Audleys Wood Hotel
Our gorgeous country house in Basingstoke, Audleys Wood, had its sort after self-contained Garden Pavilion revamped with structural upgrades, new flooring – fit for dancing, training, presenting or whatever you need – as well as new lighting to make the whole space sing.
Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa
Nutfield Priory Hotel, nestled on top of the Surrey Hills had its south facing terrace transformed with new decking, stylish and comfortable outdoor furniture and atmospheric fairy lights. The view from the terrace has always been absolutely breath-taking, coupled with this new and improved alfresco drinking and dining area makes it a very desirable spot indeed.
We hope you have enjoyed reading and seeing the results of some of our latest refurbishments, there are further projects underway, including an upgrade of the Lancaster Suite at Woodlands Park Hotel in Cobham and, just in time for Christmas, the impressive South Room at Ettington Park Hotel is being redecorated with a fresh and modern new look to be revealed very soon.
