It has been almost a month since we re-opened our doors, and in that time we have welcomed many of our regular and new guests. Here is just a snapshot of the amazing feedback we have been receiving

Buxted Park, East Sussex

“A cautious shielding family with two energetic boys, we arrived on the first day of reopening so we could be sure that there hadn't been anyone else in our room prior to our stay, and we wanted to be as safe as possible. Our worries and fears turned out to be quite unnecessary as the hotel had already thought of all possible scenarios and worked with us to ensure we felt really safe. We had options to eat in our room, outside, inside, the same tables, to have room service or items left outside... I could go on, but suffice to say, if there was a worry or concern, it had already been considered. 

We booked seven nights. We added another four. Then we couldn't bear to leave and added another one! We had some friends join us for a socially distanced couple of nights, and they stayed an extra night too. It could be full and you'd still feel like you were in your own manor as there is so much space. We feel utterly relaxed and re-energised.”

“First class service in tough times! We had an amazing time with chefs producing some lovely food. We were tirelessly looked after - nothing was too much trouble. We intend to return as soon as possible.”

“We stayed on this occasion to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday post-lockdown and occupied four rooms. We felt totally secure given the hotel’s strict response to government guidelines on health & safety. Although guidelines were in place we were made to feel like it was business as usual and the service & quality of food were exactly as experienced on previous visits. My daughter stated there is nowhere else that she would have rather been than your hotel, and the memory will always be special to her.”

“I visited here today and felt safe, from the moment you enter the hotel it has strict cleaning and social distancing in place. The afternoon tea was superb and the staff made you feel so welcome and looked after us very well. Highly recommend.”

“I came here with my family for some afternoon tea. Upon arriving we were given hand sanitiser and our temperatures were checked. All the tables were two meters apart at least. It makes you feel very safe during a pandemic. The afternoon tea was arguably the best one I have ever had. The service was wonderful and the staff were extremely friendly.”

“From a health & safety perspective, all new necessary and required precautions have been implemented without these being unnecessarily intrusive or obstructive at all. Full marks. Our room and communal areas too were absolutely ‘spick and span’. The hotel has benefitted from its enforced holiday with a lick or two of paint and welcoming TLC, but its charm and homely originality remains warmly intact. 

There are currently some reopening limitations to the services and restaurant menu provided but this hotel has always excelled is in its consummate customer, caring service and attention, which is still unsurpassed and unchanged.”

“Just visited for afternoon tea, being a coeliac it can sometimes be disappointing, however New Hall has got it spot on. The best Gluten Free afternoon tea I have ever had! Everything was homemade and tasted amazing! Compliments to the chef! Also all the staff we encountered were lovely.”

“Despite it being the first day back open the staff could not have been more helpful. The food in the restaurant was first class with a good choice of meals (possibly slightly restricted menu due to Covid19 issues) all very well presented. The grounds are nice to stroll around and you are only a few minutes’ drive from the amazing Malvern Hills. All in all a very enjoyable stay with the usual attention to detail expected at a Hand Picked Hotel. DO NOT worry about booking here at this time as there are strict health measures in place to protect guests and staff. These measures do not impact on your stay though.”

L’Horizon, Jersey

“We have just got home from an overnight stay at L'Horizon. Everything was 5* and the staff are a credit to the hotel! It was my partner's birthday and we purchased the vegetarian BBQ pack prepared by the hotel and had the BBQ on the beach, the food was incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were given a wine bucket, ice and some hand sanitizer to take down to the beach which was perfect and we had we had the best night! Thank you L'Horizon for such a lovely overnight stay.”
