Be inspired at Compton Verney Art Gallery
This award-winning art gallery is located in a Grade 1 listed Robert Adam mansion set in 120 acres landscaped by Capability Brown.
The impressive permanent collections focus on six specific areas which are generally under-represented in other British museums and galleries: 16th-century Germanic art (including work by Cranach and Tilman Riemenschneider); 17th-century Neapolitan art; British portraiture, featuring Tudor royals and paintings by Sir Joshua Reynolds; Chinese bronzes; the largest collection of British folk art in the UK; and the work of 20th-century textile designer Enid Marx. Compton Verney also has a lively programme of exhibitions, offering historical and contemporary shows.
Local attractions and things to do in the area may not be open all year round and may require pre-booking. Please check the attraction website before visiting to avoid disappointment.
