We meet Amy and Ross who's engagement in Rome inspired little special touches for their Summer wedding day at Crathorne Hall Hotel.
We looked at a number of wedding venues across Yorkshire before we saw Crathorne Hall Hotel, but the moment we looked around, we knew it was the wedding venue for us. We were looking for somewhere that had a classical and traditional feel, but which could incorporate the more modern elements which we wanted from our wedding.
We got engaged in Rome so we wanted to add elements from that day into our wedding, as we didn't have a theme this worked perfectly, tables were named after locations we visited during our trip.
Our photographer Chiyo McMillan was fantastic. She made us feel incredibly at ease throughout the day and was very flexible with when she needed us for photos, so that we could spend lots of time enjoying every moment and spending time with family and friends.
First Class Wedding Company did a wonderful job of dressing the ceremony room for us. We only contacted them a few weeks before the wedding, but the way that they worked with Crathorne Hall was great, as they set up the room perfectly. The cherry blossom trees had the 'wow-factor' had earned us lots of compliments from our guests.
Sweet William provided our flowers. They were great at talking through our ideas with us and showing us examples of what our flowers might look like. We were over the moon with all of the flowers they provided and their service.
The service that Crathorne Hall provided throughout the weekend was wonderful. The staff were friendly, approachable and extremely helpful: They really could not have done more for us. Everyone commented on the fantastic food and also the service when serving the food. Little touches, like serving everyone at the table at the same time, go a long way. We were also really impressed with the fact that on the Sunday following the wedding, ourselves and our families, were made to feel like our special day was continuing. In fact, one member of our family, who has travelled to many places and stayed in many luxury hotels, commented that Crathorne Hall was one of the best for service that he'd ever experienced.
The best part of the day was definitely the ceremony! Having imagined what our wedding would be like for so long, it was everything we imagined and more. We loved having the people who mean the most to us all in one room to celebrate with us. It really was a perfect day!
