We meet Sarah and Chris who fell in love with the grounds at Buxted Park Hotel so what better place to get married.
We picked Buxted Park Hotel in East Sussex because we fell in love with the grounds - we had envisaged a traditional formal wedding style and, being a converted Manor House, Buxted Park matched this perfectly.
As we had picked November for our wedding, I really wanted to enhance the beautiful autumnal colours that were on the trees. We thought burgundy would be perfect for this - it also went really well the decor inside the Ballroom and Coat of Arms Lounge too!
We cannot sing the praises of our suppliers enough. In particular, Pollen who supplied our decor - they put together lots of floral arrangements with burgundy and cream roses, which matched the theme and created an elegant look. We also had the Sussex String Quartet play during our ceremony and drinks reception, and a band called Gravity got our guests on the dance floor during the evening reception.
We were blown away with the level of attention to detail that the wedding team at Buxted Park gave us on the day. A few last minute changes needed to be made and all was sorted without any fuss. Our guests have since commented on how much they enjoyed the food and drink, the flavours were incredible and all the food was hot (which we appreciate can be difficult when serving a large amount of people). We also opted to have mulled wine served after the photos, which I think helped warm our guests up after standing out in the cold November air!
The best part of our day was the ceremony, even though it felt as though it was over in a flash - Chris says that his favourite part was seeing me walk down the aisle. But, following closely behind, was dancing the night away to our band with our friends and family at this stunning wedding venue.
