Winter weddings in Birmingham
Winter (December, January and February) sets the scene for a truly romantic wedding at New Hall Hotel and if you are lucky enough to get a dusting of snow, your wedding photos really will look like a fairytale winter wonderland.
The light can be amazing for your wedding photography; by using tea lights, open fires and fairy lights adorning our West Midlands wedding venue, it will look spectacular. With colder weather your wedding party can accessorise with fur wraps and fluffy scarves for the ladies and knit ties with tweed suits for the gentleman. For a more dazzling look why not hold your wedding on New Year’s Eve. A perfect excuse for a black tie affair and party that lasts into the early hours.
With flowers in more limited supply during winter, you can embrace a more dramatic look and feel to your décor with bouquets and arrangements of pine cones, feathers, or even break tradition with a brooch bouquet. Of course, Christmas colours can set the theme for your wedding and our Great Chamber with its red and gold ornate ceiling makes the ideal luxurious setting for a festive banquet.

A winter wedding allows for endless minced pies, hot cocoa stations, and copious amounts of comfort food. Your guests will not be leaving hungry or unsatisfied, you can offer them mulled wine with mini pigs in blankets to nibble on, followed by a beef bourguinon and Christmas puddings, sticky toffee pudding or white chocolate cheesecake to follow. It’s the most wonderful time of the year – for a wedding!
