Hand Picked Hotels, the current sponsor of the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation (PPBF)’s Buy-A-Night campaign, has congratulated the charity on its third addition to their compassionate housing in Southampton.

The Guernsey-based charity supports local families with premature babies or critically ill children during difficult times. Its lovingly decorated flats are located right next to Southampton Hospital so that families can stay close to their little one during off-island treatment.

‘Buy-A-Night’ is the charity’s latest campaign, dedicated to safeguarding the future of these properties, by inviting individuals and businesses to buy a night of their choice, which will help with ongoing running costs.

The newly acquired two-bedroom flat is called ‘Frankie’s Den’ and is going through a period of renovation to ensure that the space is cosy, comfortable and well-equipped for families in need. It is expected to open in the coming months.

Frankie’s Den was made possible by an incredibly generous donation from Guernsey couple Ken and Linda Acott, whose late family cockapoo ‘Frankie’ inspired the flat’s name. The property will allow for longer stays, which is vital for critically ill children who may need treatment over several months, or more.
