We meet Clare and Steffan who were married at New Hall in Birmingham on an autumnal day surrounded by their friends and family
There was no way we were not going to pick New Hall Hotel & Spa for our wedding, it's absolutely stunning! The history behind it, the moat, the scenery was all just incredible. What we loved most is the historic Great Chamber where we held the ceremony and then to have the reception in a modern marquee was just perfect for us. Getting married in November we knew the weather might not be great however because of how stunning the wedding venue in Birmingham is, we knew we would have amazing photos no matter what the weather.
The theme we chose was rustic because I love hessian and lace and thought it would go perfectly with the venue. I also bought fake leaves to add a bit of colour due to it being autumn time!
All our suppliers were fantastic. The photographer we had was Stephanie Baines and we were really pleased with her, she knew the venue and she wasn't hesitant about telling people where to go and stand in pictures and she captured our day beautifully. I know it probably wasn't easy for her as we had a drone flying about which was quite noisy but they worked great together making sure they got great shots up in the air and down on the ground.
I adored my dress and it made me feel the best, ever, its from Adele Louise Bridal in Wolverhampton. I also had the best make up artist Niamh Norton and hairdresser Alison from Number 10 hairdressers, I had so many lovely compliments.
The DJ we had was from Celebration Disco, recommended by New Hall and he was fantastic, people didn't stop dancing all night which is what we wanted.
There were so many highlights to our day however our ceremony was perfect. Catherine and Cath the celebrants who married us were absolutely brilliant, they bought humour to the ceremony, they were so laid back and calming, guests said how great it was (not boring at all!)
I felt like we enjoyed every moment of our wedding day and we were so relaxed, which I really didn't think I would be as I am normally quite a nervous person! The whole team at New Hall were excellent, I felt everything was in place, we were listened to with our plans and I didn't have to worry as I knew we were in good hands, everything went like clock work. I want to do it all over again!
