We meet Martyn and Damian who were married at Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa in February 2017.
Martyn runs www.gayweddingdirectory.com so planning his wedding was a breeze! We knew instantly that Brandshatch was the country house wedding venue in Kent for us, not only did we love it, the fact that we could have exclusive use and the wedding and reception under one roof was perfect, all our guests could stay the night too so that was the icing on the cake.
Standing proudly in the countryside known as the Garden of England Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa is a sophisticated Georgian mansion, with a Health Club and Spa, it also meant some of our guests could make a weekend of it. We kicked off with the wedding celebrations the night before and hosted a group dinner with about 20 people which was great fun.
Our wedding day was just perfect, the ceremony was definitely our favourite part, the wedding breakfast was wonderful, it was so nice having all our nearest and dearest with us to celebrate, the fact that Brandshatch offers a 'choice' menu for all our guests was great, it meant everyone didn't have to eat the same things, which really helps with all the dietary requirements! We went for either melon, soup or a lovely salad to start, there was a sorbet course to cleanse the palate and then either chicken, beef or an aubergine gateau for main. Our desserts were our favourites, either chocolate brownie, sticky toffee pudding or vanilla cheesecake, they all went down so well and guests were talking about the food for months after!
The Cover Brothers were are band for the evening party and they were fantastic, which is why we list them on our website. They had all our guests dancing the night away, we couldn't have asked for more.
The whole Brandshatch team made our wedding and the entire run up go so smoothly, from the moment we made the first enquiry to when we left the morning after they were fantastic. If we could do it all again tomorrow we would, and we wouldn't change a thing.
