L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa in Jersey, part of country house hotel group Hand Picked Hotels, has re-opened its outdoor terrace following a £500k refurbishment designed to make the most of its uninterrupted sea views.
The AA Four Red Star hotel, situated directly on St Brelade’s Bay, now boasts a completely upgraded 54m decked terrace featuring a relaxing lounge for up to 32 guests, a separate 66-seat dining area and a dedicated outdoor bar. The south facing terrace has also been fitted with a new sound, heating and lighting system and a retractable electric roof as well as a new glazed wind break allowing diners to enjoy stunning views of St Brelade’s famous golden sands and pristine waters whatever the weather.
The Terrace’s new lunch and dinner menus have been designed by the hotel’s Executive Head Chef, Andrew Soddy, and created to reflect The Terrace’s modern new look and relaxed décor. With a focus on seasonal produce and locally sourced ingredients, the menus include a wide selection of sharing plates such as Paprika Coated Jersey Royals with red Pimento and Gherkins and a Fisherman’s Platter with potted Mackerel, smoked Trout, shell-on Crevettes and Jersey Oysters. There is also a range of grilled meat and fish as well as locally-inspired Galettes with Jersey Brie or Brittany-inspired seafood, as well as Vegetarian and Vegan dishes including Buffalo Mozzarella, Broad Bean and Pea Salad and Courgette, Tomato and Mozzarella Espetada. The Bar serves a range of cocktails, spirits, beers, fine wines and soft drinks.

The Terrace at L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa is open daily from 11am until dusk from and is situated just 10 minutes from Jersey Airport and 20 minutes from St Helier.
Two night island breaks start from £258 per room per night this summer, representing a 15% saving. The package includes accommodation in a Classic Inland Room, full traditional breakfast both mornings and a three course meal on the first night. Guests also have full use of the hotel’s Spa and Health Club facilities whilst staying at the hotel. Price is per room per night, based on two people sharing a room and is subject to availability.
