We meet Emma and David who had a summer wedding in Kent at Chilston Park Hotel. This country house hotel can close its doors to everyone but you and your loved ones for the wedding of your dreams.
We were after a venue in Kent that not only was beautiful but was in a good location and with stunning grounds. As we wanted a Summer wedding, when we saw the grounds around Chilston we knew it was perfect because they are so open; with beautiful lawns with giant games on, a stunning lake for the backdrop to some photos and space for people to explore while we had drinks and canapés. By being able to hire the hotel on an exclusive use basis too meant that our guests could take over all of the bedrooms, no other bookings were taken so we had the whole hotel and grounds all to ourselves.
We didn’t have a theme as such but we went for blush, navy and gold colours, they are our favourites and we felt complimented the hotel and its furnishings beautifully.
Our civil ceremony was held in Culpepers, which is a beautiful room intricately designed with a Wedgwood blue colour scheme. We then moved into the Fitzhammond Suite for our wedding breakfast and we had our evening party in the Orangery. Chilston has definitely become one of our favourite places and we will most certainly revisit
Our suppliers were all fantastic too and helped bring the whole day together.
Jack Bunneys where the grooms suits came from is great quality and service superb.
Floral Explosion our florist had a great understanding of our wishes, we couldn't have been happier with the finished product, Becky worked so hard to meet all our needs and our expectations were well and truly met.
Orange Rabbit Cakes supplied our cake, they are David’s favourite and they managed to match the colour scheme to perfection.
Kerry Ann Duffey was our photographer, she has great people skills, listened and helped out on so much more than her normal duties, the photos were lovely and she is highly recommend for a reason.
The best part of our day: marrying our best friend. The day couldn't have gone any smoother we just wish we could do it all over again.
