We meet Paige and Jason who knew they would get married at Chilston Park Hotel in Kent, 8 years before they even got engaged!
"Chilston Park is a beautiful country house hotel in Kent and has the most stunning grounds, the staff are always on hand to help and assist wherever possible and the hotel has a great feeling and atmosphere about it. We stayed here around 8 years ago for the first time and I knew instantly if Jason was to ever pop the question Chilston Park would be the place we would say I do.
So when he did we booked! As we were having an October wedding we decided on autumnal colours as a theme, I really liked the idea of burnt orange to match the colour of the trees at that time of year, it was very difficult trying to find bridesmaid dresses that looked nice in that colour so we decided to go for a bronze look, the colour was perfect for Autumn and the bridesmaids looked absolutely fantastic, they also complemented the colouring of the décor in hotel.
Where do I start with our fantastic suppliers:
Go West Photography who are one of Chilston Parks preferred suppliers were absolutely amazing, they really managed to capture the day in a magical way, Carolyn and Tony made you feel perfectly at ease and ensured everything ran smoothly they really are great at what they do.
Our wedding cake was made by another preferred supplier Orange Rabbit cakes, Rob's attention to detail was faultless and really captured the image I had. He is incredibly talented and the cake not only looked fantastic it tasted amazing.
My wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses were from Joanne Danton of Yasemin’ s Boutique in Crawley, she has a huge range, she was so friendly and ensured every sitting and dress fitting went well, which was not the easiest as there were 7 of us and we are all different shapes and sizes!
We used a local Band called The Toons, Jason and I first saw them in a bar in Gravesend, their voices are incredible and for such a young group they really knew how to work the crowd and get the best out of every gig they do, it felt right to have them for our special day and they did not disappoint.
At the end of the wedding breakfast and before the evening party begins, there can often be a 'lull' in proceedings. I wanted to surprise our guests so hired Silver Service Singers. I found them online, they had great reviews so I contacted them. Without anyone knowing they were part of the day from the beginning as waiting staff, they served drinks and canapes, then the wedding breakfast, then one of them fell over and dropped everything.... as a way of an apology he burst into song, it got everyone in the mood for a party. They were brilliant.
We had Aurora Fireworks for the evening of our wedding, again a preferred supplier for Chilston Park, what can I say they were absolutely amazing the display was a pyro musical it was completely on point and spectacular from start to finish.
Chilston Park is a spectacular place and definitely the perfect wedding venue, the level of service is second to none, from your wedding co-ordinator who ensures everything is listed and in the place right through to the team waiting tables and behind the bars, they keep you up to date at all times with what is required or changes that may need to take place with timings etc… The quality and tentativeness of all the staff is truly remarkable they look after you from the moment you arrive through the doors to the moment you leave.
The food on our day was amazing too, all the food was hot, presented exceptionally well, looked and tasted divine. Jason, I and all of our guests were very impressed at the quality of the food from start to finish, the canapés were great, the wedding breakfast was remarkable and the evening buffet was superb every part of it was 5 star quality.
The whole day was wonderful we enjoyed every minute of it. I can honestly say that we really did have the best day of our lives and can't thank the Chilston team enough for everything they did for us. (I want to do it all again!)"
