The home of summer jumps racing, Worcester Racecourse are celebrating their 300th Anniversary in 2018 as one of the oldest racecourses in the UK. With 20 racedays annually, from May – October, there is a raceday for everyone at this small, friendly racecourse close to Stanbrook Abbey Hotel.
Located in the heart of Worcester City Centre, next to the River Severn, the racecourse has spectacular views of the city and is easily accessible from Stanbrook Abbey, only a 15 minute drive away. Parking is free at the racecourse using postcode WR1 3EH.
Highlights of the racing calendar at Worcester include the famous Worcester Ladies Day on the first Saturday in June, where a sell-out crowd enjoy thrilling jump racing action, the Epsom Derby live on the big screen, live music after racing plus the opportunity to win fantastic prizes in the Best Dressed Lady competition. There are 2 family fun days in the calendar, on Sunday 24 June and Sunday 2 September where there is plenty of free entertainment for children as well as free entry for under 18’s. Look out for the live music race evenings throughout August, where there is a different musical act playing live before racing on Wednesday evenings.
The racecourse has a fine dining restaurant located on the second floor of the grandstand, offering great views of the racecourse and city beyond. There you can enjoy a three-course, choice menu from a reserved table for the day from £65 per person, which includes admission.
